The Challenge

BloodHealth AI was a new product entering the remote blood pressure monitoring market. Unlike Brello, there was no existing brand foundation to extend — everything had to be created from zero: the mobile landing experience, the packaging for the physical device, and a full brand identity system anchored by an AI mascot character.

The product needed to feel trustworthy enough for a health device while still being approachable and human — a difficult balance in the medical tech space. The client wanted something that didn't feel like a hospital product, but also didn't feel like a toy.

My Individual Impact

1. AI Mascot — Creating a Character System from Scratch

I was responsible for creating and managing the AI mascot character from the ground up. This wasn't a one-off illustration — it was a full character system: consistent poses, expressions, and variations that could be reused across the landing page, packaging, and marketing assets.

I defined the mascot's personality, visual language, and the rules for how it could be depicted across different touchpoints, ensuring it always felt like the same character even when generated or adapted.

Impact: Established a recognizable brand asset that became the visual anchor of BloodHealth AI's identity across all launch materials.

2. Mascot + Stock Image Integration — Realistic AI-Generated Human Assets

The most technically complex part of the work was integrating the mascot with stock imagery to produce realistic, human-looking assets for the landing page. I created combinations where the mascot interacted naturally with real people — not pasted on top, but visually integrated into the scene.

This required careful attention to lighting, perspective, and composition so the final assets looked like a cohesive, professionally shot campaign rather than a collage.

Impact: Delivered a landing page with 90% of hero imagery generated in-house, reducing dependency on external photography and cutting asset production costs.

3. Mobile Landing & Device Packaging

I led the design of the mobile landing experience — the primary conversion touchpoint for the product. In parallel, I created the packaging design for the physical device, ensuring the unboxing experience matched the digital brand language.

The packaging needed to communicate medical credibility while still feeling warm and approachable, consistent with the mascot-led identity.

Impact: Delivered a complete launch package — landing, packaging, and brand assets — within a single design cycle, from zero to launch-ready.

4. Client Communication & Design Leadership

As lead designer, I was the primary point of contact for the client. I presented design directions, gathered feedback, and aligned stakeholders on the mascot's personality, the landing page structure, and the packaging direction. I managed the design team's workload and ensured consistency across all deliverables.

Impact: Maintained a unified brand vision across mobile, physical, and AI-generated assets while keeping the client aligned throughout the launch process.

What I'd Do Differently

The mascot system was built iteratively as the landing page evolved. With more time at the start, I would have defined the full character bible — personality, voice, pose library — before production, so the landing and packaging could reference a single, locked source of truth from day one.
